Thanks for the response. The mod_so gets compiled in automatically because of the --enable-mods-shared=all line.
Output of: /usr/sbin/httpd -l Compiled in modules: core.c prefork.c http_core.c mod_so.c The apache server is loading and running all the modules I need without any problems.
