I have just installed php 4.0.6 cgi to WinXp. Tried to fire up a prog
and got the following:

Warning: open(C:\Program
Files\PHP\sessiondata\sess_7b14a10eaa657d7329e9c946d3a73863, O_RDWR)
failed: m (13) in D:\wwwroot\xxx\index.php on line 4

Warning: open(C:\Program
Files\PHP\sessiondata\sess_7b14a10eaa657d7329e9c946d3a73863, O_RDWR)
failed: m (13) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the
current setting of session.save_path is correct (C:\Program
Files\PHP\sessiondata) in Unknown on line 0

Is there something I need to do extra to set sessions up or is this
something else to do with this prog? Permissions or something? What to
do? Alpologies to the wise, but you gotta start somewhere!

Hmmm,
why not use
/tmp in your php.ini and
/tmp means c:/tmp if your php+iis is on c:. d:\tmp, if php+iis on d: and so on.
Feedback is appreciated.

I've compiled php-4.1.0 (DSO) but when I start apache I get the message:

Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 261 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server:
/etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: alloc_globals

What gives?

This is RedHat 7.2 with apache-1.3.22-2 and apache-devel-1.3.22-2 rpms, PHP
4.1.0 compiled with ./configure --without-mysql --with-apxs

Thanks

Hi,

I'm compiling php 4.1.0 on freebsd 4.4 with options :

./configure --with-apxs=/opt/web/apache/bin/apxs --enable-versioning --with
-mysql=/opt/db/mysql --enable-track-vars --with-gd --enable-ftp --enable-sy
svsem --enable-sysvshm --enable-sockets --with-pdflib=/usr/local --with-gett
ext --with-openssl --with-mm=/usr/local --prefix=/opt/web/php --with-jpeg-

rkeleyDB --with-mcrypt=/usr/local --with-mhash=/usr/local --with-ming=/usr/l
ocal --with-zlib

If I add --with-cyrus, and add cyrus 2.0.16 libs and include, it fail with
lots of error :

I really don't know what to think.....

If I compile without cyrus, everything goes fine. The problem comes when I
try to start apache :

/opt/web/apache/bin/apachectl start
Syntax error on line 242 of /opt/web/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /opt/web/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server:
/opt/web/apache/libexec/libphp4.so: Undefined symbol "assertionfailed"
/opt/web/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started

trussing the start gives nothing more !
Where does this symbol comes from ? what should I add./remove ?

please !!!
