Hello All, i am new to this list and have a question. I apologize if this has been answered in previous threads, but i have searched through the archives and did not see what i was looking for, but there is a distinct possibility that i am blind.
I am running Apache1.3.19/PHP/MYSQL(not that it matters) on a Solaris8/ultra10 box. I need to connect to an LDAP server being hosted on a Novell/I-Chain box. I have read through the documentation for adding LDAP support to PHP, but it all seems to point me in the direction of adding an LDAP server to my environment, which i don't need, as it already exists on another server. Or is this not what the documentation says? it may not be. Can anyone offer assistance as to what i would need to recompile php with to use the LDAP functions. is it as simple as recompiling with ldap? am i making this more difficult then it has to be?
