For the record, I was referring to php4. This is a problem. The whole reason I've decided to use php4 on this machine, is that I've moved (converted) my pop3 to imap. And as this provides WebMail to paying customers that have been enjoying / paying for Secure mail. It just doesn't seem an option - short answer; The WebMail package *requires* php4. :-\ Altho, I can see your point. > > > I've also found that once in a while the error message that comes out of > configure doesn't really match the actual problem (after all, there's a > nearly infinite number of things that can go wrong, and you can't > anticipate all of them)...you might need to look into the config.log and > other files to see what it was actually trying to do at the point where > the error occurred. Agreed, and believe me, I've looked. However, I was unable to discover what *exactly* was the cause. :-( Thanks again Mark for your efforts. --Chris > > > --- > Mark Roedel | "Blessed is he who has learned to laugh > Systems Programmer | at himself, for he shall never cease > LeTourneau University | to be entertained." > Longview, Texas, USA | -- John Powell > > -- > PHP Install Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To contact the list administrators, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- PHP Install Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To contact the list administrators, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
