I have been helping to set up a website on a Qube3, but could not get any
mySQL to work correctly with the php that came pre-installed... so I
dowloaded the tarball of the latest version of PHP, and compiled and
installed if from the source, including the mySQL support. This fixed the
mySQL communication problem from PHP, but broke the built in web interface.
It appears that when I installed the new version php, it removed or re-wrote
some of the built in stuff from cobalt to run the php interface for
administration. The error message can be found at www.hmortgage.com/login.
I believe that the error is occuring because the cobalt version of PHP had
an i18n module that was compiled for their specific api set... So here is
my question: Are there any standard i18n implementations for PHP, and if
not, are there any ideas on how I can get the i18n.so which is still on the
qube to play nicely with the new version of PHP?

I contacted Cobalt about this issue, but they were of no help, insisting
that by installing any software on the Qube I had voided the warranty, and
was no longer eligible for support (unless I wanted to pay through the nose
to talk to a tech support junkie that "probably could not fix this issue
without formatting and re-installing the entire os.".

Any ideas or suggestions from anyone would be wonderful. :)

Thanks in advance.

-Kimball
