I see. I already posted this question on Feb. 11 and just wanted to
re-post it when I found your answer to this one. I did not compile it
--with-ssl because the config switch explanations say that --with-ssl
will only be used for certain SNMP stuff which I didn't intend to use.
Thanks for the answer, I'll try it out immediately.
What makes me wonder about the whole thing additionally is that I get
this during configure:
checking for Kerberos support in IMAP... yes
checking for SSL support in IMAP... no
IMAP *IS* SSL-enabled.
