The output function is wrong it should be

function generateSelectField() {
        $theOutput = "<select name=\"".$this->name."\">\n";
        foreach($this->value as $key=>$val) {
            $theOutput .= "<option value=\"".$val."\">".$val."</option>\n"; //this line
        }
        $theOutput .= "</select>\n";
        Return $theOutput;
    }
