I'm not really sure how I can answer your question but let me just put it this way. Everybody CAN monitor our browsing but: 1. That doesn't mean everybody WILL. 2. That doesn't mean they'll use "sniffing". Regarding "sniffing", I think it'd be better if your research it yourself. Google for it and use "sniffing" as your keyword--you'll be surprised with the results.
