Hello! My ISP is using the "open_basedir" restriction which (I think) is stopping me from using the function "fopen" to read a document on a different server. I have been in contact with the ISP and they want to allow me to use the fopen function for my purposes, but they have this restriction so it wouldn't be possible to use other owners scripts within the ISP:s server.
Is there anything they could do to keep a higher security level (open_basedir restriction) but still allow me to read documents on other servers. Do you have any suggestions or solutions, please write me a mail.
