Yes, you forgot reading the instructions :) You are missing these lines:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php .phtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php3
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
in your /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf file
