Hello, just wondering if I compile or have to recompile php in teh future and use another db solution like postgres or what not, would -- with mysql or postgres risk overwriting database info or wipe it out?
Or it just automaticall allows php to connect to the existing mysql/postgres tables as I would with perl and active server pages? Might sound silly, I just want to make sure there is no risk or ask if anybody has encountered such a problem when using ./configure Thanks. Normally I wouldn't ask, but what the heck, always good to be open minded of problems that don't seem likely, but can happen anyway. I just learned a hacker can wipe out a server with cgi forms (or used to be able to, that scared me) (Ok, stop laughing ;) )
