Both will do good jobs, but is the site is very loaded PHP might take less resources than jsp and asp from the server. Yet has to be well configured. It all depends on how you use it.
PHP is a great solution for most heavy sites. I never had any problems with it on a 4+ million pv/month site. Most of other developers will probably agree with me.
