Here is a snippet example.
function assign() {

if ($string) {
$data = explode ("|", $string);
echo "$data[0]";
}
<form>
$array = array("$new_cat,$assigned_to","$job","$assigned_by")
$string = implode("|",$array);
return $string;
}
The variables that form $array are from the form....
