I highly suggest you to read some begginers book or the php.net/manualbefore trying to implement other technologies concepts with PHP. That is because you WILL find some "tricks" to do what you want, and you'll think PHP is a big chunk of bad smelling code, a totally wrong concept.
Forget momentarily the roots and learn PHP with a clear space on your RAM. Cheers!
