Not really. Date selectors are intended to make data entry easier on the front end while allowing only valid date selections, but you can't really rely on them. * Most date selectors rely on Javascript, which may not be available on the client. * From a usability perspective, using a date selector is slower than typing the date into a text field. Accessibility is also a concern. * Above all, your code should still validate the correctness of input on the server regardless of anything you are doing to make things easier in the client.
