I'm not sure what your setup is, but I get this frequently when testing on my windows server with IE What I do to get the error is save a blank page over the one that is causing the problem. Load it in the browser, then resave the probelem code, and refresh. I almost always end up having left off a ; or } somewhere, and it just won't report it till I refresh like this. Hope that helps.
