Why do you do this three times?  You need only:

    header("Content-Type: application/vnd.ms-excel");

> header("Content-Disposition: attachment; 
> filename=".basename("./bidDocs/".$myFile).";");
> header("Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary");

Remove this line.

> header("Content-Length: ".filesize("./bidDocs/".$myFile));
> readfile("./bidDocs/".$myFile);
