[PHP] Linebreak

I feel stupid.

 

In many examples I have seen similar to:

 

echo '<p>Whatever.</p>\n';

echo '<p>An other whatever.</p>\n';

 

But my PHP outputs the \n instead of a new line in the source.

 

I am stupid?
