the learning curve is smaller than most people think...
if you are willing to learn, and refuse to be
intimidated by the reputation that has been built
up around linux, i doubt you'll have any
problems installing and running/using it
in a lot of ways, i think linux is probably a more
"natural" OS for programmers... we're used to big
scary text files where a single incorrect semicolon
can cause unheard of errors in far reaching parts of
the code.... linux is much the same way... a single
obscure config file can bring down your entire
system if configured incorrectly :)
