Right after I sent that I started wondering if sleep() would be counted in the time or not. I would think it would, but it *could* in the background just run the system sleep, which might not be counted... I don't know that much about the sleep function to tell you. Parsing the XML should cause it to time out if it was longer than 9 seconds though... interesting situation...
