[PHP] default extension for includes?

I'd like to be able to call include("thing"); and have PHP 
automatically look for thing.html -- I know include_path can look in 
multiple places, but I have no idea if I can look for multiple file 
extensions, close matches, etc.

Doubt it, but I'm asking :)
