But I don't think, it's a bug, because --with-dom is enabled by default, so there must something else wrong with your configuration. There's actually no --with-dom option at all, just --without-dom..
Check the configure output, what it reports about libxml, dom etc.
It works well if I define
--with-dom=shared \
--enable-dom=shared \
and if you don't believe me, then try it yourself instead of starting to flame.
