First, this list is not the appropriate place for pointless flames. Instead of being rude about your off-topic post, he asked politely for these types of discussions to be taken elsewhere, and he even provided you with such a place. You respond by being an ass. See the problem? Take this behaviour elsewhere. It is not welcome here. If you really want to use this list to distribute something that you think might be interesting to the subscribers, please use a few lines of your signature. As long as you're a legitimate participant, you will eventually send a meaningful email to the list, and your signature will be seen.
