I tried your command: telnet localhost 25
to see if my SMTP server was up. Obviously it is not, because this is the response I received. Connecting to localhost...could not open connection to host on port 25. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. So how do I get my SMTP server working? How do I stop the target machine (my computer I assume) from refusing the connection? Oh, and if I do fix this, it should make my e-mailing stuff work right? I have a router, a Linksys WRT54G. Do I need to configure port forwarding? Oh and btw, my ISP does not block any ports. -Andrew
