Is there a way to check a folder on the server to make sure a specified folder has write permissions? I'm writing an upload script, but I need to make sure the user gave the destination directory write permissions before I can copy the files to the new folder. Anyone got any ideas?
Any reason why you cannot try to write a temporary file to the directory and then delete it?
