Quick chastisement: don't hijack threads. This has nothing to do with
sessions. When starting a new topic and asking a fresh question, please
start a fresh email rather than replying to any old thing in your

% Quick question... when saving a file using the fwrite() function in a Unix
% enviroment as a text file does it get saved as ASCII???

Quick answer: fwrite writes whatever you tell it to; if you write text
then it writes text. If you're not on an EBCDIC mainframe you can
comfortably figure on the only other choice.
