I was trying to get dBase functions to work a couple of months ago. I activated the relevant line in php.ini (i can't remember which and I can't access the php.ini at the moment) which should have worked. I had to take it back out again as every php page hit was generating an error on the dll (php_dbase.dll?) saying it wasn't a recognised resource or somesuch. I asked the list but got no response. If the dBase facility simply doesn't work it would be nice to know. I'm now using MySQL but our back office systems are still in dBase so an answer would still be helpful. Sorry not to answer your question very well. If you can get it to work please let me know how.
