 New Comment:

Thank you for this bug report. To properly diagnose the problem, we
need a short but complete example script to be able to reproduce
this bug ourselves.

A proper reproducing script starts with <?php and ends with ?>,
is max. 10-20 lines long and does not require any external
resources such as databases, etc.

If possible, make the script source available online and provide
an URL to it here. Try to avoid embedding huge scripts into the report.

Description:
------------
Compile PHP 5.14 With --with-mysql and
--with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config support against mysql
5.1.9-beta fail with no error.

make (correct)
make test (correct - edit constant.inc in /ext/mysqli/tests)
php 5.14 compile and install with no problem

php.ini is php.ini.dist with no changes.

mysqli_connect (connect well with no error)...
mysqli_get_host_info return nothing.

mysqli_client_info return 5.19-beta (is well)...

mysqli_query always fail, but mysql_errno return 0000

mysql extension and pdo-mysql works well always...

Reproduce code:

yum (rpm repository).

./configure --with-mod-charset --enable-fastcgi
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-mysql-sock=/tmp/mysql.sock
--with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config

(edit Makefile to resume EXTRA_LIBS).
