*sigh*..contact the author of that script, not us. sessions work just fine as long as they're used correctly. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2003-09-30 19:53:58] brian dot goodgroves at ntlworld dot com Description: ------------ I first noticed a problem after upgrading to php version 4.3.3 when my own username and password script for my website simply stopped working for no reason... After much head scratching and rewrites of my php.ini and httpd.conf files I still had not gained an answer. I then decided to add a news section to my website that enabled me to login from any internet enabled computer and add, edit, or delete content. The file/script I used is called PHPNews and can be obtained from http://newsphp.sourceforge.net/ I went for the above file/script as I had used it before and I knew it would do what I needed. After installing the above file/script I noticed that it too would not led me login to the admin section of my website...? At this point it came to me that I only started to have problems after upgrading to the latest version of php and apache... I have tested a few scripts with an old release of apache and the problem is still there so I can only assume that its the latest version of php that has a few issues with sessions. Reproduce code: --------------- I do not have the above script installed now so I can not provide a URL or code example. Expected result: ---------------- I expect php to hold each session but it simply does not since I have upgraded to version 4.3.3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=25710&edit=1
