Ok, I figured out the error_log thing. I cleared the log. Enable the HOST section, restarted IIS and loaded a page. IIS crashed with the 500 error. Nothing written to the log. I found it in the php.ini file, but enabling it and setting the file name to php_errors.log, did not seem to do anything. Even when I disable the HOSTS section, still not error_log created. Where is this supposed to reside?
