Dear all,

Due to UCU industrial action this term, we are making a couple of
changes to the schedule for the Immoralism reading group.

The scheduled final session of the term falls on a strike day, and is
now cancelled (unless a negotiation breakthrough halts the strike).

The reading for that session has been moved forward. So our next session
will be:

Wednesday 19 February 2020, 1100am-12noon (Faculty of Philosophy
Graduate Common Room, Sidgwick Site)
Bernard Williams ‘Realism and Moralism in Political Theory’ in In the
Beginning Was the Deed (Princeton University Press, 2009)
Matt Sleat & Ed Hall, 'Ethics, Morality and the Case for Realist
Political Theory', Critical Review of International Social and Political
Philosophy, Vol. 20, No. 3 (2017), 278-95. Reprinted in A. Sabl and R.
Sagar (eds.), Realism in Political Theory (Routledge, 2018)

PDFs available here:

Hope to see you all at the next session.

Matt and Nakul
