Dear all,

This Wednesday, 13 November, Pembroke is hosting a panel discussion in
association with Cara (the Council for At-Risk Academics). Cara provides
urgently-needed help to academics in immediate danger in their home countries,
and those forced into exile. We have some very interesting speakers, including
Baroness Onora O’Neill. All are welcome – we hope to see many of you there.

Should we provide Safe Havens for Academics at Risk?
Wednesday, 13 November 2019, 6pm - Old Library, Pembroke College
Speakers will include:

Baroness Onora O'Neill, philosopher and Cara Patron
Stephen Wordsworth, Executive Director, Cara
Dr Mehmet Erman Erol, Postdoctoral Researcher and Cara Fellow
Matt Mahmoudi, PhD candidate and Jo Cox Scholar

The discussion will be followed by a drinks reception at 7pm. Both are free of
charge.
