Dear all, Please see below for an invitation to an event at Pembroke College on the evening of Wednesday 13 November, in association with Cara<https://www.cara.ngo/what-we-do/> (the Council for At-Risk Academics). Cara provides urgently-needed help to academics in immediate danger in their home countries, and those forced into exile.
We have some very interesting speakers joining us for a panel discussion, including the renowned philosopher Baroness Onora O’Neill, and Dr Mehmet Erman Erol, an at-risk academic who has been offered sanctuary at Churchill College. The panel discussion and subsequent drinks reception are free of charge. Straight afterwards, there will be a special Formal Hall at Pembroke. Tickets cost £18.50 for a 3-course meal. We would be delighted if you could join us for the panel discussion<https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/academics-at-risk-a-panel-discussion-registration-74290730575>, or dinner<https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/giving-day-formal-dinner-tickets-75688423111>, or both.
