Hello Thanks a lot, I will really like to have the copy of the readings. If you can provide that.

Please let me know if you'd like a copy of the readings and the schedule, and I'll pass those along. Next time I'll make sure they're sent through a link to Dropbox or something like it. Apologies for this! Best, Oscar ________________________________ From: O. Westerblad Sent: 10 October 2019 17:14 To: phil-events@lists.cam.ac.uk <phil-events@lists.cam.ac.uk> Subject: Pragmatism Reading Group: First Meeting October 15th, 11.00am Dear all (with apologies for cross-posting), The pragmatism reading group will meet for the first time this term, on Tuesday 15th of October, at 11.00am in Seminar Room P19, in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science. We will start by reading C. S. Peirce, the so-called father or founder of pragmatism. We will read his 'On a New List of Categories' and 'Questions Concerning Certain Faculties Claimed of Man'. Both are attached below as PDFs. The first paper is fairly short, but provides some foundations for the following paper(s). The second paper is more essential for the reading group, so if you are short on time, but want to attend, you should prioritise 'Questions Concerning Certain Faculties Claimed of Man'. For those unfamiliar with pragmatism, who want some background before diving in to the primary texts, the SEP entry on pragmatism is a good place to start: https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/pragmatism/ We will aim to make the reading group accessible to anyone unfamiliar with pragmatism, and will make a brief introduction of each text at the beginning of each meeting. See the attached PDF for more information on the structure of the reading group for the rest of term. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
