Jim Weatherall (UC Irvine), author of the best selling Physics of Wall 
Street, and renowned philosopher of physics to boot!, will visit Cambridge 
for 6 days from 11 November.

The main deal is his Saturday 12 November Masterclass in philosophy of

BUT, for those of you interested in philosophy / foundations of 
economics!,
he will talk:
1)      next Tuesday 15 Nov at 4.00 in the Board Room (first floor, left) 
history and philosophy of science department: on the Black-Scholes model;
Suggested (but not required!) reading beforehand is from his popular book, 
The Physics of Wall Street: viz. Chapter 4, Beating the Dealer.
2)      in the CamPoS talk series, Wednesday 16 Nov at 13.00, seminar room
