Dear all:

On Tuesday 23 February at 5 till 6, (following on Karolina's 4 to 5 pm presentation of Collins on understanding physics etc): we will discuss the philosophy of probability, more specifically:

Chloe de Canson will introduce: A Wilson `Objective Probability in Everettian Quantum Mechanics', BJPS 2013. It's nice and accessible. Attached.

Also attached is a background philosophy of probability paper, which may be of interest: J Schaffer `Deterministic Chance?' British Journal for the Philosophy of Science. 2007 (But it is Wilson that we will mostly, or wholly, discuss

For those unfamiliar with the layout of the history and philosophy of science department, Free School Lane: the venue is the Board Room; first floor and on the left.

best, jeremy B
