Dr. Sophia Connell (Cambridge): Aristotle on Female Animals: A study of
the _Generation of Animals_

In her new book, _Aristotle on Female Animals_, Dr. Connell brings out
the complex and positive role played by the female in Aristotle's
thought, shedding new light not only on Aristotle's account of
reproduction and generation, but also on hylomorphism, teleology and
Aristotle's sexism.

_Aristotle on Female Animals: A study of the Generation of Animals_ was
recently published by Cambridge University Press. Copies of the book
will be available for browsing from 12.30, before Dr. Connell's
presentation and discussion starts at 1pm.
