The next session of the Seminar in Contemporary Political Thought will be this Friday, 6th November, at 1-2.30pm in the Coleridge Room of Jesus College. Refreshments will be served after the close of formal proceedings.
The speaker is Professor Marc Stears. Prof Stears is currently at the University of Oxford. He was formerly Chief Speechwriter to Ed Miliband, and from January he will be Chief Executive of the New Economics Foundation. The title of his paper is “It's not just the politics that are missing: realist political theory and the everyday”. There is no pre-circulated paper and all are welcome. Please note: at the last seminar there were a significant number of latecomers with several people arriving very late indeed, which was very disruptive to the session. We appreciate that some lateness is unavoidable due to previous sessions ending at 1pm, but please do not attend if you will be more than ten minutes late.
