For logic minded grads (and others)
Next term, there will be a reading group, meeting Tuesday lunch-times
for an hour in CMS, when we will be working through
Steve Awodey, Category Theory (OUP, 2nd edition 2010).
This is mainly aimed at people doing the Part III category theory paper,
as a gently reinforcement of some of the material in the lectures. But
Awodey's book is reasonably accessible if you have a smidgin of maths,
and is a bit more logic-orientated than some (it is in the Oxford Logic
Guides series). So if you've been meaning to teach yourself some basic
category theory, this might be an opportunity to join a self-help group!
