TRUST SEMINAR IN LENT Lent Term 2015, Fridays 3pm to 4.30pm, Faculty Board Room.
This series of seminars is mainly intended for Philosophy undergraduates taking the Part II Ethics paper, and for graduate members of the Faculty. Others are welcome to attend. We are fortunate to have 4 visiting speakers who will each present a paper on trust. Prior to their visits, we will read and discuss the paper with a view to assembling questions for the speaker. It is essential that participants read the papers in advance of the seminars. The schedule is as follows: 16 Jan - Discuss O'Neill 'Trust, Trustworthiness, and Accountability' 23 Jan - Onora O'Neill visits 30 Jan - Discuss Nickel 'Trust in Technological Systems' 6 Feb - Philip Nickel visits 13 Feb - Discuss Hawley 'Trustworthy groups and institutions' 20 Feb - Katherine Hawley (Via the Videoconferencing Service) 27 Feb - Discuss Holton and Domenicucci 'Trust as a Two-Place Relation' 6 March - Richard Holton and Jacopo Domenicucci visit Papers will be circulated in advance of the meetings.
