Dear all,

In a change to the advertised time, date, and venue, please join us
for the CamPoS (Cambridge Philosophy of Science) seminar

Friday 21st November 2pm-3.30pm in the Dept of History and Philosophy
of Science, Seminar Room 1.

Eleanor Knox (KCL) will give a talk entitled "Spacetime Structuralism
or Spacetime Functionalism?", abstract below

Best wishes,

Christopher

Abstract: I examine some currently popular articulations of ontic
structural realism with respect to spacetime points, and find them
lacking. Instead, I propose functionalism about spacetime itself (with
at most derivative consequences for its points). This has much in
common with structuralist positions, but has the virtue of usefully
applying to emergent spacetimes
