Dear all,
Two announcements this week:
1. This Nature and Culture Reading Group will take place on Tuesday
(28 October) at 1pm, in Seminar Room 1 of the HPS department. We
will be discussing:
'Evaluating Scientists' by Brad Wray
from /Value-Free Science: Ideals and Illusions?/, edited by Harold
Kincaid, John Dupre, and Alison Wylie (Oxford University Press,
2007). The reading will be introduced by Marion Godman.
Please get in touch with me if you have any difficulty getting hold
of the reading. More details about the reading group can be found on
our website (http://www.humannature.hps.cam.ac.uk/ReadingGroup).
2. Erstwhile visitor to our project Kim Sterelny will be back in
Cambridge this week and giving a talk for CamPoS (Cambridge
philosophy of science group). His talk is entitled 'Farewell to
content', and will be taking place this Wednesday (30 October),
1--2.30pm in Seminar Room 2 of the Department of History and
Philosophy of Science. All welcome.
Very best wishes,
Beth
