Dear all, for anyone who is interested, we have started the following reading group:
COERCION AND CONSENT Every Wednesday 2 - 3 pm, Philosophy Board Room, Philosophy Faculty The reading group discusses the political/ethical topics coercion and consent. Discussion will focus on conceptual analysis of the concepts, political/ethical theory that draws on the notions and criticism of such uses, particularly in economic contexts. Our next meeting will be next Wednesday, October 22. We will read Onara O'Neill on autonomy and consent: O' Neill, O. (2003) Autonomy: The Emperor's New Clothes. Aristotelian Society Supplementary Volume 77 (1):1–21 The paper is available here: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/1467-8349.00100/abstract . We will select reading for the weeks to come together in the reading group. Students and staff are all welcome, and we strongly encourage students from faculties other than philosophy to attend. Best wishes, Jens _____________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from the CamPhilEvents mailing list, or change your membership options, please visit the list information page: http://bit.ly/CamPhilEvents List archive: http://bit.ly/CamPhilEventsArchive Please note that CamPhilEvents doesn't accept email attachments.
