Dear Philosophers,
On June 3rd, 14.00 - 18.00, in the Old College Office, Trinity College, there will be an informal workshop on Bernard Williams and his views about the History of Philosophy. There are already two confirmed participants: Lena Robaszkiewicz, who is engaged in studying this problem and will present a paper based on her work so far, and myself - I shall talk about Williams's views on Collingwood and the history of philosophy. We are looking for a few other people who would be willing to participate, ideally not just by coming, but by giving some sort of presentation. It need not be a formal paper, but perhaps just some comments and ideas which will launch a discussion on some particular area within the topic. Please also mention the event to anyone in other faculties and outside Cambridge who you think might be interested in it, and if you are interested at all yourself, do contact me at [email protected]. I hope to be able to send out, nearer to the event, another notice giving more precise details of exactly what has been planned. With best wishes, John Marenbon
