Dear all,

Please join us for the CamPoS (Cambridge Philosophy of Science) seminar

Wednesday 20th 1-2:30pm in HPS Seminar Room 2.

Matteo Mameli (King's College London) will give a talk entitled "On the
evolutionary origins of morality". The abstract is below.

Best wishes,

Christopher

Abstract:

Thoughts about moral obligations have some peculiar features. I will give
an account of these features by referring to the structure of certain
emotional tendencies. I will show how these tendencies may have evolved in
Late Pleistocene hunter-gatherers. I will point out some implications of my
account.
