Dear all,
We are pleased to announce the exciting Michaelmas 2013 term card for the
Cambridge Women in Philosophy Group:
Friday 15th November 11am - 12pm (with lunch with the speaker afterwards).
Dr Clare Chambers: "Are Bodies Property?"
Location: Faculty Board Room, Philosophy Faculty.
Tuesday 26th November 11am to 12 (with lunch with the speaker afterwards).
Professor Rae Langton: "Speech Acts and the Accommodation of Authority"
Location: Barbara White Room, Newnham College.
Everybody - from any department or gender - is welcome to attend. The fact that
the group is open to all is important to us, and we will email you soon with an
invitation to an informal discussion about the name of the group, 'Women in
Philosophy'. We would like to hear your thoughts on whether 'women' or 'gender'
should feature in the title.
WIP is a cross-departmental group for undergraduates, graduates and faculty
supported by the Philosophy and HPS Faculties that aims to provide a forum for
networking and celebrating the work that women philosophers are doing here at
Cambridge and elsewhere. For more information, see

If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this email.
All the best,
Ellen Judson, Magali Krasny, Lena Robaszkiewicz, and Ella Whiteley
