This week's Nature and Culture Reading Group will have a slightly
different format. We will be covering three articles written in response
to last week's paper, all of which can be found in /Behavioral and Brain
Sciences/, 2010, Volume 33, Issue 2-3. Each paper will receive a short
introduction from one of our volunteers.
The three papers are:
- David Danks and David Rose, 'Diversity in Representations; Uniformity
in Learning'.
- Nicolas Baumard and Dan Sperber, 'Weird people, yes, but also weird
experiments'.
- Stephen Stich, 'Philosophy and WEIRD intuition'.
This particular issue of /Behavioral and Brain Sciences/ contains
numerous responses to Heinrich /et al/.'s original paper, so please feel
free to read and discuss the other articles too.
As ever, please contact me if you have any problems locating the
reading. All very welcome!
Very best wishes,
Beth
