The second monthly seminar under the auspices of the Cambridge Forum for Legal
& Political Philosophy during the 2011-12 academic year will take place this
week on Thursday, November 17th, at 3:00pm, in Room G26 of the Law Faculty
Building. The seminar will be chaired by Norman Geras, who is Professor
Emeritus of Political Philosophy at the University of Manchester (and who
became a resident of Cambridge last year). Norm will be concentrating on some
arguments in Jerry Cohen's book "Why Not Socialism?" For the reading for the
seminar, he has chosen two pleasingly short excerpts from that book:

Norm himself at the seminar will summarize some of the other arguments in
Cohen's book before he goes on to examine them critically.

With regards,
MK
