Here is something I sometimes use:

(MCWorkingCopy allManagers asSortedCollection: [ :a :b | a packageName <= b 
packageName ]) collect: #description.

Have a look at WAVersionUploader or WASeasideVersionStatus.

But I guess that there are possibilities with Ring as well.
