There are probably better ways to do it (using true date objects) but
converting ISO date strings to US or EU date strings (yyyy-mm-dd to
mm-dd-yyyy or dd-mm-yyyy) is almost "Split a string on dashes, rearrange
the order of the elements and join them using slashes."
